Eric's Story
'I was dealt with well and timely on all occasions'

Eric Kaye is a representative for Scarborough Medical Group on NHS North Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group's Patient Partner Network. In his own words, Eric shares his experiences of local healthcare during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I have had two consultations by telephone with a GP at Danes Dyke Surgery, which were easy to arrange, same day as requested.
I was able to arrange my B12 routine injection and have blood test at the surgery with no waiting, straight in and out at appointment time.
I was referred to and contacted by a consultant at Scarborough Hospital after which a CT scan was arranged in the mobile unit sited at Scarborough Hospital.
I was dealt with well and timely on all occasions. My only adverse comment, which may not suit all patients, I was not able to have my GP consultation with my regular, preferred GP.
Since sharing his story, Eric has sadly passed away. Scarborough Medical Group and NHS North Yorkshire CCG have decided to keep his story available for others to read, as a tribute to Eric, described by the practice as "a very fair, professional member who always had a valued input and will be sorely missed at our meetings".
