Simon Cox appointed Executive Programme Director for East Coast Service Review
NHS North Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (YFT) are delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Cox as Executive Programme Director for the East Coast Service Review.
In this role Simon will lead significant transformation work that is emerging from the review on behalf of the healthcare system. This is a two year joint appointment from 1 October.
Following the appointment Simon Morritt, Chief Executive of York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said, “Simon brings significant senior healthcare experience and a proven track record of delivering positive change in a multitude of healthcare settings.
“I am looking forward to working with him to deliver the transformation that we know is possible, particularly for our patients and staff on the East Coast.”
Amanda Bloor, Accountable Officer of NHS North Yorkshire CCG, added, “The East Coast Service Review, and Simon’s appointment to lead it, is great news for patients and our healthcare system.
“The review will deliver a step change in services while helping ensure that NHS resources are used where they can have the most impact for local people.”
